Another satisfying cool new game to hit Facebook with its uncommon gameplay and great art style – Brave Tales.
Brave Tales is one of those multi-genre games with a mix of strategy and RPG in one game set in the dark ages.
Your goal is to control a number of heroes as you help other people in various missions as well as your main mission to save your friend.
Brave Tales Gameplay Video:
Graphics: Very Good
The graphics are very well made with enough color, effects and animations to make the game quite attractive to gamers of all ages and gender. It’s pretty good for a 2D game.
Sound: Good
The sounds are not exactly in the ‘epic’ category, but it will do. The music fits in with the game’s theme which focuses on the ‘medieval era’. However, it lacks battle sound effects like swords clashing or grunts from monsters. This might not appeal to some players. For me, it seems weird enough without any battle sounds at all.
Playability: Very Good
The gameplay is very simple with players only having to talk to NPCs and dive straight to battle. There’s no consistent storyline, but just a taking a series of missions that appear in a linear chain of events. The game does take quite awhile to load, others report getting stuck at 0%, in my case – I was stuck at 23% but a simple refresh solved the problem. The game’s tutorial and user interface is rather confusing, I found myself getting stuck at how to upgrade a skill or maybe I already did – however, there’s still this annoying “1″ point left that seems to be clickable but doesn’t point to anywhere. Well, since the game is still in its early stages of release, hopefully these minor problems will get solved soon. The only major problem I found in this game is the fact that it costs real cash to hire a third, fourth and fifth hero which are rather cool, the ranger, rogue and the animalist.
Overall, the game is fun and has a certain addictive appeal with the continuous appearance of missions that encourages players to play more…
Cons: Confusing interface. Adding new heroes are quite costly.
