Vikings Gone Wild is a strategy action game on Facebook and Unity. Enter the world of vikings in this crazy yet strategic game. A pint of beer and a good brawl is what these scrawny bunch live for. So what are you waiting for? Let’s get ready to rumble…
Take control of a village, manage its resources, and recruit legions of savage vikings to destroy invasive zombies. Construct buildings to support your people’s needs, to strengthen the village’s defenses, and to increase the overall offensive power of your little kingdom. Recruit warrior vikings and lead them to battle against zombies so as to acquire additional resources and advance further. But do be careful when you leave your village at its own, for prying eyes from other neighboring villages might take its chance on the opportunity at hand.
Vikings Gone Wild Gameplay Trailer
Graphics: Good
Cartoony artwork neutralizes the savageness that these barbaric vikings possess. The interface is a little messy, but not too much, and since you can zoom in and out, it compensates for the messiness of it. Good character designs and most of them actually look good, especially the narrator. Never knew there were beautiful vikings, since all I’ve seen in movies and pictures seem to be only men with black or gray bushy beards and buffed-up bodies. One weird detail though is that the zombies can phase/walk through walls, which is probably a bug. But despite that this game still looks good, and doesn’t sacrifice much of anything.
Sound: Good
Fitting tribal-like music that builds up as you go into combat, upbeat and really gets you going. Sounds are okay and doesn’t annoy much. I like how units talk when they emerge from the tavern, just like in Starcraft.
Gameplay: Good
Common playstyle, but since the game doesn’t sacrifice any feature for energy and stuff, it is actually pretty decent and can potentially be addictive. I personally like it since everytime you finish a battle or quest, these lovely ladies comes out to congratulate you. As what I’ve mentioned above, I do like the fact that it doesn’t have an energy-based system for everything that you do, and that in this game you can easily lose track of time since you can choose from upgrading your own village, attacking zombies, or raiding other players. Be passive or be aggressive. It’s your choice and your freedom.
Cons: Some bugs are present. Limited number of workers.
